The site grows up: GISSpace joins, and the science steps forward
GISSpace joins as the fifth product, Dr. Sarrau's peer-reviewed publications run through the news, and every product gets its own page and real footage.

In May we wrote that the new site was live. Six months later, the site has caught up with everything the team shipped since, and this update is the biggest one yet.
GISSpace joins the family. The fifth product tracks space weather and orbital traffic live: close to 16,000 active satellites propagated in your browser, the Kp index, the solar wind, the aurora oval forecast, asteroid close approaches and the next launches, all on one globe. Every product now sits in the navigation bar, and GISSpace gets its own full-width chapter on the homepage, opened by the ISS airlock.
The science steps forward. Gistin's methods do not come from nowhere: they come from peer-reviewed research. Dr. Justine Sarrau's six publications (Frontiers in Built Environment, Transportation Research Interdisciplinary Perspectives, Journal of Geographical Sciences, ISPRS Annals, Frontiers in Remote Sensing, Sustainability) now run through the same timeline as the news, on the homepage and on the news page, each with its first page and a link to the publisher through its DOI. Behind every map on this site there are real computations and real scientists, and the site finally shows it.

Each product tells its chapter with real footage. The homepage plays the São Paulo circuit film for GISTwin, the 3D storm over Dubai and Abu Dhabi rendered by the GISFlood engine, the Saumos fire of July 2026 exactly as GISFire replayed it, the night globe of GISLightning with its live strikes, and the airlock opening for GISSpace. No stock imagery anywhere: everything on screen is our own output.
Every product now has its own page. Each one is presented as a boxed edition, with what it does, who it serves, its film, its data sources and, above all, the science behind it: the peer-reviewed publications its methods come from. These are applications built on real computations, and each page says exactly which ones.
Under the hood, French now has its own address at /fr beside English and Arabic, the whole site runs on the latest framework with near-instant navigation, and every page is structured so that an AI assistant citing Gistin lands on verifiable claims.

Gistin takes part in the UAE-French Space Days in Abu Dhabi
On 12 October 2026, Dr. Justine Sarrau, Gistin's manager, was invited by the UAE Space Agency to speak as a panellist at the UAE-French Space Days held at the ECSSR in Abu Dhabi. Her message: working on natural hazards is not only about seeing them coming, it is about being prepared as early as possible.

Replaying the São Paulo Grand Prix floods: a 3D digital twin of Interlagos under water
In November 2024, torrential rain flooded the Interlagos Formula 1 circuit during the São Paulo Grand Prix. We rebuilt the venue as a 3D digital climate twin and replayed the flooding: the same simulation pipeline we deploy for UAE infrastructure, applied to a site the whole world watched.
