Gistin's coverage spans all seven emirates of the United Arab Emirates, from the coasts of Abu Dhabi to the heights of Ras Al Khaimah, with the headquarters in Abu Dhabi and a deployable field team.

How does the platform align with UAE climate policy?

The platform is built to advance the Abu Dhabi Climate Change Adaptation Plan, the UAE National Climate Change Plan 2017-2050, the UAE Net Zero 2050 Strategy and several other federal and emirate-level programmes.

What data feeds the simulations?

Gistin consolidates GIS surveys, topography, hydrology, satellite imagery and live weather feeds into a unified geo-base, then runs 3D rain, flood and submersion scenarios over that base.

Has Gistin's research been recognised?

Yes. The G3DAR project, the methodological foundation of Gistin's platform, won 1st place at the ESGRS Challenge, Earth Observation Edition, recognised by the Emirati Society of GIS and Remote Sensing in partnership with the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre.
